Frequently Asked Questions

What programs do you offer?

We offer group crossfit classes, bootcamp classes, heart rate training, gymnastics classes, mobility classes, endurance classes, weightlifting, yoga, sport team training, power lifting, personal training, and kids/teens classes.

Do I need to be fit to join Crossfit?

No you do not. All fitness levels are welcome. We offer fitness programs for people of all levels and ages with proper progressions to get to your goals.

Where is the class schedule?

Our schedule is located on our Class Schedule page.

I’m visiting from another CrossFit. Can I drop in?

Yes. Just email and give us a heads up.

How long before I see results?

That really depends on you. How many times you come to class and how you take care of your nutrition, sleep and stress. We are here to guide you and provide advice on all areas in order for you to improve your fitness.

How many times per week should I attend?

We recommend 3 times per week to start, but depending on how fast you want to see results you may want to turn up 5-6 times per week. 3 days on. 1 day off. Everyone is different and requires a different approach. We are here to help guide you along the way.

Will I get big and bulky?

Only if you want to and put a lot of time and effort to it. Crossfit is designed to make you fit, lose body fat, increase muscle mass and get you toned. You will be a better version of yourself. Will you build muscle and get lean, yes. Will you get bulky.. probably not. You get what you want to train for, and we are here to help you reach your goals, no matter what they are.

Will I hurt myself doing CrossFit?

Our job is to keep you safe and progress you correctly. We do everything we can to make sure you understand the mechanics of a movement (doing it well) then that you have consistency in movement (doing it well, often) and LASTLY, we will introduce intensity (doing things well AND fast).

I can’t do those workouts, am I ready for CrossFit classes?

At Milford Athletics we offer different programs for this. You will find that our fitness program is designed for individuals who do not have experience in the weight room. Our Performance program is designed for those with more experience and ready to “get after it” a bit more.

What is the class structure like?

In our classes we work as a group with individualized coaching. We start with stretches and mobility work, followed by the days training. It varies every day.

Why is CrossFit so expensive?

Ever heard of “you get what you pay for”? Here you will get personalized training everyday, and you will see results. We got you covered from nutrition to programming, we will be with you every step of the way. Whether you want lose weight, get fit or fitter, or just train to clear your mind and get some “me” time. Our coaches are very knowledgeable and prepared to help you with your goals whatever they may be. Plus you will be part of an amazing community. You’re family here.

How much does it cost to join?

You can visit our pricing on our membership page.

Can I try a class for free before I start?

Yes. Every Saturday at 10:30am we offer a free friends and family class. In this class you will be in a small group with your own certified CFM coach to put you through a trial class.

What are On Ramp classes?

On Ramp classes are intro classes where we teach you the basic movements of Crossfit. Once you complete all 9 classes, you are welcome to join the group classes.

How do I get started?

The first step is to set up a FREE 20 minute assessment with one of our coaches. From there the coach will direct you with your next step. This next step is either in the on ramp program or with personal training sessions.

For members who are signing up into our burn class or fit class, you can just call and stop in to fill out the paperwork.
