Some benefits of stretching after a workout: include muscle recovery and improved mobility.
The clock runs out and you’re running out the door for your next daily task. Stretching? Who wants to do that? Sit in a pigeon pose? No time. I promise you this, performing at intensities that challenge you at our amazing gym will do exactly that, challenge you. If your muscles are not prepared, they can tear, rip, stiffen, and these fun movements are just a thing of the past.
The drawback of thinking that your workout is over when the clock runs down is that you’re missing out on the benefits of stretching, which include muscle recovery, and improved mobility.
Still not convinced you should change your ways? Then I challenge you to perform a pigeon. If there is no pain what-so-ever, wonderful. Those of you that find this pose/stretch easy to get into and out of, try to perform after your workouts 3 days a week, holding each side 1 minute each.
So once OR twice a week, meet me, TUESDAY’s 7:30-8:00 am and THURSDAY’S 5:30-6:00 pm to increase range of motion that is suitable for YOU. Every BODY is different. Each stretch works differently in each of us. Give it a try.
See you on the mat-
