Starting March 1st, 2018 we will be adding a high school strength and conditioning programming to the schedule.
This program will run Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
The cost of the program will be 150/month for each student athlete.
The ages of participants are 8th grade through senior year in high school.
Now, here are the details;
Through our experience, one the best ways to gain confidence can occur in the weight room. On top of that, THE best way to improve sport specific strength and fitness is first through building your general physical preparedness. The bigger you build your general fitness, the more potential you have to improve your sport specific fitness.
So, how are we going to go about this in our program?
We are going to run this in two phases. Each phase will have a LIMITED number of members to allow for proper training/coaching. Phase 1 (which will start March 1st) will only have 10 students participating. These students will first go through a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) test and then they will take part in a Inbody screen test. These two markers will give us an indication of their movement/mobility capabilities as well as any intra-muscular deficiencies. They will then begin their journey building their structural stability, stabilization, proper movement patterns, proper movement through their knee flexion, hip hinging and shoulder ranges ability, proper building of the different muscular contractions, as well as proper firing of different muscle fibers based around their make up. This phase is what will lay the foundation for all things in sport. This GPP building is essential for all students/athletes looking to get better prepared for their sports, for those looking to just get stronger, and for those who want to just work on their fitness.
These students will properly train under a Crossfit Milford Coach and eventually enter our Phase 2 program.
Phase 1 will remain this group and until they graduate into Phase 2.
So, we are accepting the first ten athletes on a first come/first serve basis.
